Welding solutions for Aerospace and Military sectors

The aerospace and defense industries require manufacturing processes that deliver exceptional accuracy, traceability, and consistent quality. We develop custom automation systems, welding equipment, and precision manufacturing solutions designed for complex metal components and specialized production environments. Our systems help manufacturers improve efficiency while maintaining the strict standards required in military and aerospace production. Lastly we are based in Orange County, California and everything we make comes from this facility.

Large Part Aluminum Welding

Challenges:

- Long weld seams introduced part distortion

- Inconsistent weld profiles failing inspection requirements

A customer approached us for help welding long aluminum structural beams, each containing nearly 16 feet of continuous weld. Due to the length of the welds and the material properties of aluminum, the parts were highly susceptible to distortion and inconsistent weld profiles.

To address these challenges, we developed custom fixturing and specialized welding patterns designed to control heat input and minimize part warpage throughout the welding process. After validating the process and producing samples that passed inspection requirements, the customer moved forward with having the beams welded in our facility for production.

Aluminum T Fitting Welds

Challenges:

- Pinholes & weld inconsistencies compromising joint sealing

- Welding joints by hand with loss of skilled labor

Struggling with labor shortages and welds not holding under pressure, a customer approached us with finding a reliable solution. We started with our Lathe welder mini as a base to solve their problems. Our lathe welder could already produce consistent welds on aluminum shock bodies, but the T-fittings have a unique profile. To solve this we added a cam follower controlled torch to change the path as the fitting rotated. Lastly the system was fitted with a Tig torch to provide consistent welds.

On the issue of labor shortages, our lathe welder mini lets the user load a part, press a button, and wait to unload. Removing the skills of hand welding out of this process completely.
